Depop inventory sync Australia

Keep one-off eBay and Depop inventory linked after a sale.

For a reseller with one-off stock, “inventory sync” is mostly about one urgent question: did the sold listing disappear from the other marketplace?

Listalong keeps the approved Depop listing linked to its eBay source. When the item sells in either shop, Listalong normally removes the matching listing from the other within minutes.

First, be clear about what is being synced

If you have a box of 40 identical phone cases, inventory sync means updating a quantity after every order. Listalong is not built for that job.

It is built for one-off resale stock. If your only vintage jacket sells on Depop, the linked eBay listing should end. If it sells on eBay, the Depop listing should be removed. Listalong syncs that availability, not warehouse quantities.

Why “I will remove it manually” stops working

Manual delisting is workable when five items are cross-listed and you see every notification. It becomes fragile when a sale arrives overnight, your phone is on silent or dozens of items are live in both shops.

The problem is not untidy admin. It is a second buyer paying for something that has already sold, followed by a cancellation, refund and awkward message.

The link between the listings is what makes sync possible

Listalong starts with an eBay listing, prepares the Depop version for your review and keeps the two records connected after publishing. The software is not guessing from similar titles or photos; it knows those two listings represent the same item.

The dashboard then shows the linked item and where it sold, so you do not have to reconstruct the history later from marketplace emails.

What happens after a sale—and where the limit is

When Listalong detects the sale, it normally removes the matching listing from the other marketplace within minutes. That greatly lowers the risk of double-selling, but it is not an absolute guarantee: two buyers could still check out before the second listing is removed.

Keep eBay and Depop notifications enabled, and act on any reconnection warning. If either marketplace account is disconnected, the sync cannot do its job.

For Australian sellers, the next job is the parcel

Once a Depop order is safely marked sold, the problem changes from inventory to fulfilment. Listalong can prepare pending Depop orders for MyPost bulk import and help send tracking details back after labels are created.

The whole local workflow stays connected: start with the eBay listing, approve the Depop version, close the matching listing after a sale and prepare the parcel for Australia Post.

FAQ

Common questions

Can Depop inventory sync with eBay?

Listalong links approved eBay and Depop listings and is designed to remove the matching listing from the other marketplace after a sale, normally within minutes.

Does Listalong sync stock quantities?

Listalong is focused on one-off reseller inventory and linked listing availability, not warehouse quantity management for replenishable products.

Can sold-item sync completely prevent double-selling?

No system can guarantee that two near-simultaneous purchases will never occur. Listalong reduces the risk by monitoring linked listings and normally removing the matching listing within minutes.

Does inventory sync work in both directions?

Yes. A linked Depop listing can be removed after an eBay sale, and a linked eBay listing can be ended after a Depop sale.
