LISTALONG SOURCING
Useful visits. Respectful reviews.
Share first-hand observations of pricing, stock condition, selection and turnover. Describe your own visit, and choose its actual date. Shops and stock change.
What these reviews mean
This guide shares reseller experiences of pricing and stock selection. Scores reflect those visits, not a shop’s community value or overall quality. Stock changes and each visit is different. A score appears after approved reviews from at least three different accounts; earlier reviews remain available as “Early reviews”. One account’s update replaces its previous review.
Keep the focus on sourcing
Don’t rate staff, name people, share personal information, post abuse, advertise, or claim guaranteed profits. Reviews are checked before publication. We may reject or remove off-topic content.
One current review per shop and account
An approved update replaces your earlier review for the same shop. A check-in can be updated once per account, shop and day, and is shown for 48 hours. Check-ins and finds don’t affect the sourcing score.
Storefront photos
Visitors and shop operators can submit a current storefront photo through “Suggest an edit”. You must own the photo or have permission and allow Listalong to display it. Avoid identifiable people, number plates and private details. Photos are checked for the correct shop before publication. Original photo metadata is removed when images are processed. An optional credit is displayed publicly; the submission stays private until approved. Contact support to request removal.
Your data
You can explore one location’s insights without an account. Free email verification unlocks more locations and is required to contribute. We use your Listalong account identifier to prevent duplicate ratings; your email is not displayed. An essential session cookie lasts up to 30 days, and a separate cookie remembers your first free location for up to one year. We store the shops you open while signed in and your reminder preference so we can occasionally ask for a review. You can always skip this request. We use a daily, hashed network identifier for rate limiting, which expires after 24 hours and is removed on subsequent submissions. We do not store your raw IP address in the sourcing database.
Using “Use my location” asks your browser for permission. Coordinates are used in your browser to sort nearby shops; they aren’t sent to the sourcing API. Loading the map contacts OpenStreetMap’s tile service, which receives normal connection information such as your IP address.
Published contributions stay until removed or replaced; unapproved submissions may be retained for moderation. See the site privacy policy for hosting and analytics details.
Listalong emails
You can choose to receive occasional reselling tips, Listalong updates and offers in your account preferences. This is optional and off by default. We store your choice, its date and the consent wording version with your account identifier. You can turn it off in your account; marketing emails will include an unsubscribe link. Sourcing access does not depend on this choice.
Directory suggestions
Shop suggestions and corrections are stored privately for verification. No account is required. Please leave out personal information. We limit submissions using an expiring hashed network identifier and do not publish changes automatically. Contact support to request removal of submitted details.
