Before you connect your stores
Have your Depop account and an eBay account ready to sell. Complete any seller registration or account checks eBay asks for before trying to publish stock there.
Pick a small group of items you still have available. Clothing, shoes or accessories with clear photos and condition notes make a manageable starting batch. Check that each item is permitted on eBay and that it has not already been listed there.
If the same physical item already has a listing on both platforms, check its linked status in Listalong before creating another copy. Crosslisting should give the item a listing on the other marketplace, not duplicate a listing already there.
Step 1: Sign up and connect eBay and Depop
Create your Listalong account and follow the connection steps for both marketplaces.
Listalong pulls in the listings from your connected eBay and Depop stores. Your original listings remain on their marketplaces. Importing them into Listalong and publishing them to another store are separate steps: connecting alone does not send your whole catalogue across.

Step 2: Choose the Depop listings to crosslist
Once your listings have loaded, choose suitable items from your Depop stock. An existing Depop listing goes to eBay; there is no direction selector to configure.

For your first attempt, post one item and open the result on eBay. Once you understand what needs reviewing, work through a larger group. You can leave the rest of your Depop store as it is.
Step 3: Check the details eBay needs
Listalong reuses available source information, but a short Depop description may not contain everything needed for the eBay listing. Check any warnings or missing details rather than assuming every field can be filled from the original.

Do not invent a material, model or other attribute just to complete a field. Check the item’s label or other reliable information and use an appropriate supported option when a detail is unknown.
Example: turning a short description into useful item details
A Depop description might say: “Blue Levi’s 501s, tagged W32 L30, worn with a little fading.”
On eBay, keep those facts and make sure the relevant fields reflect them: Levi’s for the brand, 501 for the model where applicable, and the correct labelled size. Add your actual measurements and photos of the fading. Do not assume “vintage”, fabric composition or a department without checking the item.
This is a review example, not a promise that every field will transfer automatically. The aim is to reuse the work you have done while making the resulting listing accurate.
Step 4: Check postage before publishing
Do not assume the postage arrangement from Depop is suitable for eBay. Weigh and measure the packed item, check the service you intend to use and confirm who pays for delivery.
Use the postage options available for your eBay account and listing. If eBay requires a particular label workflow for that sale, follow it. Your handling time should match how quickly you can actually dispatch the item.

Step 5: Open the resulting eBay listing
After crosslisting, check the live eBay result. Confirm that the photos, title, price, condition, delivery and key details look right, then check that the eBay and Depop listings are linked in Listalong.
If an item needs attention or does not publish, review its status and resolve the reported issue. Check whether an eBay listing was created before trying again, so you do not accidentally create a duplicate.
Creating the second listing gives your stock another place to be found. It does not guarantee additional sales or mean every Depop item will perform equally well on eBay.
Step 6: Keep the pair linked after a sale
You now have two listings for one physical item. When a linked item sells, Listalong’s sold-item sync normally ends the matching listing on the other marketplace within minutes.
Keep marketplace connections working and check alerts or failed actions. If a matching listing remains available after a sale, resolve it promptly. Sale detection and listing removal take time, so automation reduces double-selling risk rather than eliminating it.

Keep creating your original listings on Depop
